Has there been a discussion on the best way to remove engine heat to increase HP output?

I did a search but was not satisfied with the findings. Thanks for your assistance.

I too was wondering about this and have a few findings for you. I have been placing a temp sensor around the engine compartment and found out some itnerestingthings. Yhe most important is that underway the mini does a great job of letting the heat out. When stoppedthe car does gain about 20degrees a min tho but once underway it cools about the same differance. depending on what intake system you use also makes a big differance in what gets into the motor. In my case I have a pipercorss viper intake which is pulling air thru a hole in the rear bulkhead and directly from the cowl intake in front of the windsheid. The intake temp at the filter entry is ambient plus one at the most. The car really heats up fast once turned off and must get to 170 or 180 which is a guess as my meter only goes to 158. Once underwaytho it quickly gets back into rrange again so it cant be getting too hot. Hope this helps a little, randy
