I don't really have any idea what you are trying to ask.

If I hold the release button for like a second too long the lock tries to rapidly release and sounds kind of like a machine gun. Is that similar to what yours does?

Nope, I just live with it. I haven't tried to fix it though. Mine only does it if you hold the release button for more than a second, so it really doesn't happen too often.

What year is your car?

I remember having this problem with our 2002 MINI. THe electric hatch latches of the early cars were problematic to say the least.

You need to get it re-programmed. The early cars came from the factory with the option to open the rear hatch by pushing on the keyfob MINI wings button for 5 seconds. That never worked as it caused the electric latch in the hatch to ratchet like a toy gun. Either the hatch would fail to open (get stuck) or the latch would self destroy preventing you from safely closing the latch.

MINI issued an internal bulletin back in 2002 instructing dealers to remove the 5-second keyfob option and reprogram the fobs to open the windows/sunroof instead when pressing and holding the wings button for 5 seconds.

In 2005, MINI supplied a 3 button BMW key that allows you to open the rear hatch independently from the rest of the car.

so you mean, if i press the keyfob for more than 5 seconds it will open my backdoor? but that dont happen, it only open my passenger door and roll down my window and open my sunroof.

so in this case i have 2003 MCS , and i have to bring it to the dealer to reprogram my key Fob to remove the autmotic back door opener and that will fix it? is thier anyother way to reprogram it my self?

Well if you press down the keyfob button for 5 seconds and both windows roll down and sunroof open, then it is already programmed like that possibly from factory.

Since you have a 2003, you have the older Rover style 2 button keyfob. You don't really want to have enable the 5 second press and hold to just open the rear hatch. Like I said that never worked and MINI promptly removed that programming option in later 2003 and 2004 MINIs.

Only your dealer (Or an independent MINI mechanic) with a GT-1 handheld computer ($15K piece of equipment) can access the ECU (Plugs underneath the dashboard on the driver's side) in your car and make those changes. You can't do it yourself.

Strange thing - this happens to my 5 series E39 also, but I live with it since the trunk opens normally with that "machine gun" sound and stays lock when I want it to.
