Bought my new MINI and drove it the first day. While parked with motor and A/C running I noticed it was steaming. Turned it off, got out and noticed antifreeze under the car. Had it towed back to dealer and was told it was the auxillary fan that cools the engine while parked. The car had overheated and blew the cap off of the overflow bottle. 2 weeks and all appears to be ok.

I also had the same problem. I had just left the dealer, going to my friends house to show them my new car, I left it out side for 5min and came outside to a car that was thought to be up in smoke. Boy i was mad when i got to the dealer at 7:30am the next day. They did a good job i give them that, but to have your car over heat the day you buy it. Come on now!
