Clutch R&R

I've dropped my transmission to change the clutch in my '02 MCS. I got new bushings to install in the clutch lever, but can't figure out how to remove the large outer bushing. I can wiggle the shaft out to replace the inner bushing. However, I can't remove the "fork" (blue arrow in pic), even when I remove the screw holding it in. I'm tempted (but am resisting) to get a punch and try and dislodge the fork, but suspect I'll break something The alternative is to drive out the pin in the clutch lever (yellow arrow), but it does not seem interested in moving, mostly deforming.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Ian

Mine came off with a little wiggling. Have a try with penetrating oil and some gentle persuasion using a pry bar on the acutuator arm outside the case. Don't use a steel punch on the fork body, a brass punch or wood dowel would be safer.

Thanks for the tip, I got the part out and the new bushings installed. Just needed some 1.5" tubing as an extender to wiggle the clutch lever. Unfortunately, UUC sent the wrong flywheel, so the car remains immobile a little longer...

Just a quick update to repair UUC's reputation. I didn't realize the Mini flywheel bolt pattern was asymmetric. The aftermarket flywheel had no markings to line up with the mark on the crank, and it took 4 iterations to get the right pattern, but it does indeed bolt up. So UUC did in fact send me the correct flywheel

Score one for UUC, zero for home flywheel installer
