I Just purchase a 02 Mini 5 speed this week and need some help.
First I knew it needed a new transmission(whine in gear)I can get one for 1900 from Mini wholesale.
My question is I will be replacing the clutch and flywheel also, where do I by it from?

A. Fidanza flywheel for 299? Rr any better suggestions, not really going for performance but its cheaper than factory and why not upgrade?

B. What brand clutch would you go with?

C. What fluid to use?

D. And anything else I should replace while its apart?

Well I can help you with the second one somewhat (plus it a free bump).

Clutchmasters is pretty good, and that is what Jan sell which say something. Some people have also used Spec clutches but I know one person has had problems with them. The good news is that I am fairly sure there isnt anything out there that you absolutely must avoid, which is always a good thing.
