Cold Blooded?

My R56 S has a new issue. She has to be started 2-3 times when shes cold. I have a CAI and a DP and the weather is only 48-55 degrees in the mornings. Why would my car be dying? I warmed the car up and when I went to drive off she stumbled, girgled and fell on her face before "clearing out" and charging ahead. HELP

Every British girl friend I ever had needed manual cranking in the morning. You can only hope and wait for the new BMW-Fiat alliance Mini built in Italy and which will be a firecracker. Guaranteed.

...... I have an appointment with the Doc. There was no error codes on the key. I can only assume bad gas however I already took steps to alleviate this so I feel its out of the equation. I put AV gas in her today, I also ran her at 162 miles per hour on the Autobahn, the AV gas was like 21 dollars a gallon w/ the us/euro conversion
We'll see how she starts tommorrow . I definetly flushed the Scheise out of the system........

Wow, 162 mph on the autobahn? I thought the speed limiter was set to kick in at 139 mph. How did you get it up to that speed? What engine mods do you have?

So how did it run? I'd put my money on the gas situation. Nothing seems to run right on ethanol. The weather is changing so the computer may be readjusting. Just a thought. Dan

My car is American Spec. I took delivery here in Germany and the car even when all stock would do 147 mph. The is no regulator function on my car. I doubt yours does either.
The car still has a bit of start issues. I still have a half tank on gas then Ill refill again with regualr automotive gas. Today when I started her up she died once then I strtd her up and drove off. she sounded like a subaru WRX, but with very little power. Its really odd because when she is warmed up she goes good.

I took the car to the dealer today. I had them address the cold start issue, the melting hood scoop and the floor heater burning my feet.
They are fixing my melted hood scoop , they are ordering all parts for scoop and heater core insulation.
The bad news is they have no clue as to why the car wont start well when its cold. As of right now its only mod is turbo exhaust. Never any probs before, and they have no clue whats wrong with the car, no error codes. They are forwarding the packet to Munich

If your car had a catalytic convertor, the AvGas will have destroyed it.

not good for your car. The additives that make the octane so high are not so good for your MINI.

edit: pilotart beat me to it

Ya, I dont make a habit of doing this and It was not a full tank. The car continues to run like scheise. The SA told me they will be notify Munich as they have no clue whats wrong with the car. No error codes at all. Hell the only mods I had where turbo back and a CAI both of which are off now.
I will be posting a video of the car so maybe others might have a clue....stay tuned
