Help. Lost all dash display and lights
Acting on a tip over on the stumble thread I disconnected my battery and then hooked it up again 30 minutes later. Upon re-starting the car I found I now had no tach movement, no speedometer, no dash lights whatsoever, and no clock. The radio is fine and all electrical (turn signals, door locks, etc) work fine. Just no dash displays. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ken

Thanks Lakesands. Yeah I checked every single fuse, even if it was labeled such that I knew it probably wasn't related. Dis-connected and re-connected the battery...still the same.
Word of advice to anybody deciding to remove fuses to check 'em...they can fall down the little opening below them, disappearing into the inner wall of the car forever. Note to self: replace the spare 5 amp fuse that you just used to replace the one that fell in the hole.

I had an airbag light, and also had the clasically British car feature that caused my instrument lights (but NOT warning lights) to go out when I lowered my handbrake lever! Funny, it wasn't even raining!
I had the dealer replace the wiring in the lever tunnel, and the airbag loom, and all is fine now.
