okay so i think i have narrowed down the headlight problem to the ballast (its def not the bulb!!) a few questions:

1. is the silver box located below the head lamp actually THE ballast?



2. how can i figure out if it is indeed the ballast?

3. if i unplug the ballast on the drivers side (bad one - i think) can i hook the ballast from the passenger side up and check it that way (will it matter if i leave the other side unplugged while i do this or should i plug the bad ballast in also?)

they are interchangable.. that would be the easiest way to find out yourself. Just swap them out

 

I am looking to buy a ballast for my xenon headlight for my 2004 mcs
