Driving back from the boats very very early Saturday morning I had a weird electronic issue pop up. I received a warning 'gong' along with a bright red brake symbol, this faded away when I stopped and was replaced by my DSC turning off. It turned back on but 10 mins further down the road my front/rear foglights turned on/off by themselves.

I'm at a loss, I don't have a code reader to see what was up with my brakes and am also concerned about the other various 'ills'. Going to call the dealer Monday but have a feeling they won't be able to replicate.

Any ideas?

 

Salt water corrosion?

 

I have heard of similar things happening when people drive through puddles. you could do a search in the the "stock problems/issues" for puddles and find it, sure.

 

It hasn't rained here in 2 weeks... not even any sprinklers going @ 4AM when this happened.

Dealer said it was ok to drive until I was able to get it in to see them. Was cleaning up the Cooper last night and discovered the seams in my driver seat have split exposing the padding.

Add new seat to the 'to be repaired' list.
