In the last few days while driving around town my boot will unlatch itself and the open door chime will go off.

At first I thought my keyfob might be the cause while in my pocket. Not the case as for the last day its been in the center console cup holder.

Anyone else have this issue or know what might cause it?

 

Others who have had this found water getting into the switch on the boot itself, shorting the wire and popping the latch open.

Not sure if that is what's causing it for you though.

 

I have had this problem twice. Its been a while since the last time it happened. I was going to tell my SA next time I was in for service.
