Check Engine Light.. AGAIN.
Check Engine Light.. AGAIN.
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=148766
(that was my original problem (i'm heyjay1428))... but on with my problem
got my car back from the dealership, and on the paperwork it says
cylinder no.1 piston ring broken into 3 pieces.
check fault found super knocking noise, 2871 combustion misfire, several cyl.2771 combustion misfire cyl.1c performed compression test. found cylinder 1 low, 35 psi. All other cylinders at 150psi. performed leak down test. Found 100% leak in cylinder 1, all other at 0%, Removed oil pan for inspection, found pieces of piston ring in oil. Removed cylinder head and inspected. Found cylinder 1 wall to be damaged.
oh everything was under warranty.. i get a 2 year unlimited mile warranty because of this or something.
that was pretty much the problems, they said i should replace the clutch, but i decided that I would do that somewhere else. but yeah
so they replaced a lot of things (long block? and or short block...), but on the way back I was driving on the freeway about 80mph (which is a bit fast, BUT cmon... it should be able to take it). And so in total i drove about 20miles or so before i headed home
so woke up next day, about 9 hours of rest for the car, and then drove out to get some tints on my car.. and then about 8 miles on the way to the tint place, I get a check engine light... UGH!!!
went to go take it back to the dealership, and they are too full and aren't taking any emergency service's .. and so i gotta take it tomorrow morning at 7am... great.
anyone have any comments about what I hsould do? what it maybe? is it because i might need a new clutch?

I'm really starting to hate my mini... no joke.

You know you need to break that engine in too, right?
It's not going to be the clutch, because they do not throw codes or CEL's.
It's probably going to be a sensor they forgot to plug in or possibly a miss-fire code.
If it makes you feel any better, take it to a car parts store and have them pull the code for you with an OBDII code scanner. They will be able to tell you what is wrong and why the CEL is on.
Good luck.

, no wonder the engine failed again. You should have treated it as a new runin.
