My brand new MINI is leaking washer fluid from the rear window washer nozzle. Have not used the washers yet; it seems like it is just leaking out of the nozzle and down the back of the car It's staing the paint and chrome also !!

I have searched the forims and noticed that this is a real issue. Can someone give a good fix please thanks !!

 

Schmoopy, I had the same problem ( as well as every other mini on the lot at the dealer) when I picked up the Coop in April. I did this here, go to entry #14, that's where I talk about it. I have not had a problem since. I was worried the summer would bring it back, but, again no problems.

I am a believer in that Cosmoline gets into the nozzel and just needs a good flushing. Some guys have had check valves installed, but those were for the front windshield jets. PM with any other questions

That is exactly what mine looked like as well. I walked through a couple different dealerships that had mini's on the lots, they ALL were weeping. Probably because they did not have homes yet!

 

when I recently traded my 4 year old R53 w/28K it was still oozing Cosmoline out of the rear washer jets. stuff will not go away.

 

OK ....very nice posts everyone now let's get some posts about ways to really solve this cute little problem
