I just noticed last night the my front passenger floor was wet along the bottom edge of the tunnel/middle hump but not extending up it. Good thing, because I have a 3 way cig lighter socket adapter in the storage netting along the hump.
It just rained heavily. Also my car was just in a accident and they repaired the passenger door and replaced the rear quarter panel. So I guess it's going to be a door seal issue, but the wetness is not on the door side of the passenger floor.
I just happened to notice last night because I was working on my carputer mod, otherwise this could have been going on for a while.

Hey Guys,
I had the same exact problem, very wet (Like a sponge full of water) on both the passenger and driver side footwells.
The dealer had my car for 3 weeks (did the whole PUMA thing) before they finally found out the problem, only after taking my entire car apart, see pics. It was found that the compressor box drain was not lined up with the car frame drain, so the water was draining back into the foot well. Apparently they did not slide the condensor in all the way and the holes did not line up. Also the drain plug was jammed into the drain hole and it was crimped so no water was able to drain. Very bad build quality....
Don't get scared with the pictures, they actually put it back better than new and totally detailed the car before they gave it back to me. No water now yeah.. This has been like this since I got the car, but I always thought I was getting it wet when I washed the car.
Anyway, it sounds like this could be the same issue you are having on your car. Good luck

If the carpet dries up, I guess I'll know it's not the AC, but probably related to the recent rain.
Wow, great, educational but scary pics. The wet carpet is confined to the passenger side so maybe it's different. Do you know where exactly is the compressor box drain? Is it the metal box/pan and piping in the pic below? Could I have dislodged when I modded my center console to install my carputer screen? Also, if water is dripping from the bottom of my car when the AC is on, does that mean the drain is working?

Hmm, he didn't show me where the compressor drain goes I should have probably asked him but when he told me about it, the car was already put back together. To answer your question, from what the tech told me I don't think you could have knocked it out of whack because he had to really push it into place the get it seated correctly.
P.S. there was a little water, dripping from my car but not like the normal amount on a hot day. So its still a possible drain problem.
Good Luck
Well, what they think happened since I live in Los Angeles, I always have my air conditioner on that there was sooo much water that it eventually saturated the entire piece of carpet. I never really noticed how bad it was because it was just very damp on the drivers side, but it was like a sponge full of water on the passenger side. I have those rubber mats so I didn't really notice until one day after I hadn't driven my car in 2 weeks I lifted the mats to wash them and they were all slimey on the bottom. I pressed my fingers into the rug and it was squishy with tons of water. Thats why they didn't think it was air conditioner related at first...they thought I had a door seal leak.

I bought my first MC two Sundays ago. It's a nicely optioned '06 pepper white model. It's been really slushy here in Ohio so it got its first bath the middle of last week.
I took it to one of those places that you spray it off yourself. Anyway, when driving off I noticed water in the passenger foot well near the speaker. The water was not on the door panel, it was all over near the bonnet release handle. I didn't think too much about it. I had scheduled to take my MC in for service on the 18th so I was just going to have the dealer take a look.
Well, last night we got a real heavy rain and my car was out all night. This morning I found that the passenger floor is completely flooded. I mean there was a ton of water in there. I called the dealer to see if I could get in any earlier and I am taking her in tomorrow morning.
The dealer's first thought was a clogged moonroof drain, however they also said it could be the door seals. I don't think that there's any way it can be the AC drain as I haven't yet turned it on. They did say that they'd more than likely have to take the carpets out to get everything dried properly.
I'll post again after I pick her up in a few days. Thank goodness the dealer has loner cars! I feel that this is going to take them a couple of days to fix correctly.
