Dead Car.
Dead Car.
Yesss So i have a dead Pepper white 2004 Mcs on my hands...
Ive read all of the posts related to this sort of sittuation.
So what happens in this case is, The car when in the start position clicks and bangs alot with some dinging, the drivers side window starts to go down and thats about it.
So at better risk of not trying to kill the car i relented...
Later i tryed to start with the car being stuck to a rather sturdy Power sorce...
A 1999 Dodge ram... running to see if it would start... nope.
Did get the window to go back up however.
I have no idea what is causing this. The car has been trouble free since it was bought.
It did have some minor work done to the car about 2 or 3 weeks ago but It was done by mini corsa so i know that theres nothing wrong there.....
If anyone has any ideas Please Please let me know....
Colin

Depends upon the gauge of the jumper cables. They don't make them like they used to. Might not be enough juice to go. Also, if the battery is dead and acting as a sink (voltage wise) might not work as well. Try a new battery. That might not be the problem, but if it is, jumper cables might not do it.
First thing I would do is to make sure the battery cables are securely fastened. The problem you are describing could be the result of a loose connection also. It wouldnt be the first time a dealer had forgotten one small step. You can also take the battery to a parts store and a decent store will be able to test the battery and tell you if its good or not. And sell you a new one if it isnt.
Thanks for all your help.
I beleve big howe was correct in thinking that the battery was shorted and was acting as a current sink....
we replaced the battery as per nam reccomendation started right up.
