Does anyone know how to replace the third brake light on the R50. It appears that the rear spoiler has to be removed due to not enough clearance to remove the light assembly.

It also appears that the rear spoiler is screwed down as well as glued down.

Any advice on how to replace it would be greatly appreciated.

 

Use a hair dryer or hot air blow gun to loosen adhesive after taking off bolts. Replace light and use new adhesive and bolt back on. Adhesive can be purchased at dealer or any good auto parts store.

Any concerns about heating the paint / melting the spoiler how much of an effort to remove spoiler?

Any tips on removing the residual adhesive on the spoiler / deck lid before putting new tape back on?
