another window failure

I've read lots of threads and I'll try thumping on it. My question; does no "window dip" cause any problems? And, why isn't this a recall issue?

Is that your only issue? No window dip? I believe you can "reset" the window by lowering it all the way down, then hold the button all the way up and continue to hold for 3 - 5 secs.

well, my window didn't dip and I didn't realize it. When I shut the door it wasn't pretty. I now am missing one of the plastic pillar post covers. Oddly, it went back to functioning properly.

Unfortunately Mr. Q was plagued with window problems. Fortunately all while under warranty.

I just did the toggle switch/door thump and got the window working again - at least for now. Can I assume that it is definetly the window motor going out since this "fixed" it? It wasn't only the "dip" the whole window wasn't working. I can live awhile not opening the window, but, I was concerned about that little dip messing something else up. It seems like all is well again.
