Misfire

I was driving on the Parkway and i went to pass a car in the left lane. When i hit the gas the car felt real sluggish and the exhaust tone had more noise to it. The check light started to blink than it stayed on. I pulled over to plug my OBD scanner and it read misfire. I cleared the code and the car ran fine for the rest of the night. Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't think it could be the gas. I always use 93 octane plus my meth kit makes the octane even higher than that.

I had a similar gremlin but mine degraded to the point of constant at 2800-3200rpm.

I changed coil pack, plugs and wires... and that didn't do the trick. Eventually I pulled the map sensor and cleaned it with some carb cleaner. that seemed to make it go away permanently.
