MCS 205 hp modification
I visited my local MC dealer today, they were upgrading a MCS 2003 to 205hp.
The mechanic said they change the exhaust, supercharger -(blades are different), pulley on supercharger, and head.
The total cost was in the neighborhood of $5500.00
This seemed to be a little extreme to me, considering, there is a pully modification avaialbe, as well as exhaust modifications.
If I was to change the exhaust and pulley and add a cold air intake kit, what could I expect to get in the way of hp increase.?
Is it better to just bite the bullet, and have the whole modification installed by the dealer.?
Thanks for your comments

You're referring to the John Cooper Works package. It's rated at 200HP, and carries a factory warranty. The cost delta between that package and aftermarket is significant, however the cost for the comfort of the warranty, and the exclusivity of a JCW MCS, may be worth it.

I am going with the pulley and ECU mod route...
I added the pulley. Next comes the ECU.
That should get me about 180hp at the wheels for a little over a grand.
If you use 11% driveline loss that's still 199.8hp at the fylwheel. 15% is 207hp.
Pulley $400 + ECU mod $700 = $1100
I am NOT adding the exhaust yet. I do not need to sound faster

From your pictures in your sig, it looks as though you have a Cooper, not an S. THe S is the one that can be modified to add lots more horses, not the Cooper. There is no pulley on the Cooper and intakes and exhausts do very little to add power. There is a JCW kit for the Cooper but I believe it is NOT in the U.S. and it only brings the Cooper to 130 HP.
