Regarding my Mini Cooper S 2002


Concerned with the intermittent warning lights that come on sometimes –and off others! They include ABS, flat tire, and DCS indicators. They all come on together and turn off together. I changed my front and rear brake pads. But since the 2002 has no brake sensors, this did not solve the problem with the lights. Tire pressure is an even 33lbs all around. Any ideas idea what all 3 lights on means? And why they turn off sometimes? Thank you. -Stacy

Sounds like a ABS sensor to me, go ck the conn. of the sensors. Make sure the wires are not hurt and the conn. are pushed together.

 

It's your ABS sensor. My spring snapped in the rear and when the car fell it ripped it to shreads. All the lights you mention went off on mine. A new one is $60 I think... I just got mine in yesterday and need to check the reciept. Since they come on and off I agree that it might be loose or have a short.

Best shop manual is the Bently manual.
