feels like my engine died for an instance..

driving around town, and there are times where it feels that my rpm just drops very low, and goes back to normal.... and creates a weird noise in the engine (when very low). feels like (right when your about to stall.. but it isn't actually that.

kinda happens when i go fast, in a spurt. but i'm pretty sure i shift when i'm supposed to shift...

(i know people hate going to the dealer for oil changes.. but in the service/warranty plan does it cover oil changes?)... thought i read that it covers oil changes as part of warranty/service.... (but if they don't, might as well do it myself...)/oh one last thing... if the service/warranty does cover the oil changes... does it expire if you do your oil change by yourself?)

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say

Yes, the Maintenance Plan covers oil changes (And everything else except for tires and alignments for 3 years or 36k miles, whichever comes first).

/oh one last thing... if the service/warranty does cover the oil changes... does it expire if you do your oil change by yourself?)
No

I don't have an 07 but I understand they shut the engine off after coming to a stop for some pre-determined time, could not be related to that, could it???

What?? The engines in 07s do not shut down by themselves.

Heyjay, if your idle is messed up you need to take it in so they can look at it, I'm sure it's something simple like a sensor or something.

Sounds like an Idle positions sensor

Actually they do, in every country except for our's. The 08 MCS turns off the engine when you put the car in neutral until you shift it into gear to save fuel.

Is that all Mini's or just Diesels? I read a story about the Mini D doing that, but I didn't think they all did it. Anyway, maybe Heyjay's Mini thinks it's a Diesel!...

All MINI's in Europe for 2008 have auto-shutoff.
