Now that it is really hot here in AL, my MC has develped an idle problem when stopping at red lights and stop signs. When I remove my foot from the accelerator during stop, RPMs will fall well below 1K, the engine gives a slight shudder, and then the RPMs rise back to normal. Had it in for 10K service last week and an ECU upgrade was done. BUT, this problem began before the upgrade. And the upgrade made no difference. Seems to only happen when the engine is up to normal operating temperature. Doesn't happen until engine is warm.
Anyone experience similar happenings, and if so, what was done to repair???

Is it very hot outside? It *sometimes* happens to mine in stop-n-go traffic. But it happened on all my previous cars too, so I'm not worried.

You might want to try using a different brand of gas if you always use the same brand just to see if the fuel quality is the problem.

Check out other threads in this site, under VERY irregular idle. There are a number of conversations. Have had awful problems since day one, now at 16K, despite 4 software fixes.

After getting the v36 update yesterday, I noticed after an hour + of highway when I was at a stoplight the idle seemed to be quiet low, low enough for me to get a little nervous and give it some gas. It has been fine ever since. very odd indeed. My MCS has 535 miles on it.

This exact same thing happens to me. I've noticed it only does it when I have the heat on.
