do you have the velcro plugs that screw onto your carpet and keep them in place?

That means your disc was not inserted correctly. Try reinstalling them.

Get the MINI rubber mats. Those suckers are really well made, durable, easy to clean. Since they are heavy they simply don't move and stay put.

I've reinstalled them and tightened them down many times and they still come out.

Actually, I do have the rubber mats. Just not the ones shown in post 7.

Where do they come from?

Second (Or third, lost count, haha) vote for rubber mats. I have them and love them. No issues with dirt, and they're easy to hose down. .

I've NEVER had an issue with the rubber mats sliding around. I've even left them in at the track a few times.

I have the MINI rubber mats. I am sure there are other aftermarket alternatives. But the OEM ones are great. The mats are heavy enough to prevent unwanted movement and don't require straps.

Which ones do you have?

Damn, that's weird. I have the same exact mats in my Clubman S and solid as a rock.

Here's a few pics. I've adjusted the lighting on some to show detail:

mat in the right place.

mat moved (it's a small difference but it makes a huge difference at the pedal).

velcro disc in place:

I ditched my MINI Urban ("complementary") mats that would curl and slide all the time for a set of awesome Cocomats:

The look great and STAY PUT.
