Odd noise from the rear

it appears to be inside when driving, during rainy days I hear a faint but audible turn signal click coming from the rear of the car. I only hear this on rainy or wet days and it is very intermhitent in nature, by the time I pull over and get into the back of the car the noise has ended. Anyone else notice this and if so have you figured it out.

One other note my rear hatch works about 50% of the time seems to fail also on rainy days more often. I am going to replace the handle and electronics soon to test but not sure if that is the fix or related to the above problem.

any help is appreciated.

FYI This is a 2003 MC no major electrical changes to the interior

I get an odd noise from my rear after eating mexican food.

Sorry no help on your MINI issue, but I could not help myself.

I get a similar tick tick noise coming from the passenger side rear of the car when it has started, mostly on cold days. It generally lasts for 10 or so clicks. I've always wondered what that is.

I am thinking that mine was the rear boot latch (which has now failed) cycling over and over, (it had a lot of moisture up in the switch)
