HELP! HELP! HELP! Bentley Manual Scans needed!

I went with a catchy title to try to generate some interest and response. I have not ordered my own Bentley Manual yet(will be doing that shortly) but I need a scan or a picture of a how to remove and replace the windshield wiper motor. The brief history is that I turned on my wipers to remove some snow on the windshield and the wipers moved an inch and stopped. After I removed the snow from the windshield the wipers no longer worked. The fuses(kick panel and under the hood) have been checked and are good and the relays are clicking and appear to be good. The next logical step would be the motor itself. Since I live an hour and a half from the nearest dealership and the car is out of warranty I would like to do the repair myself and directions are always helpful since it they will make sure I dont miss anything vital.

I have posted twice before about this problem with very little response so I am hoping more interest will be generated this time.

As an aside, has anyone heard of or had a similar problem? I have owned many cars and never had the wiper motor fail, especially in this type of a scenario.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

These are from the BMW TIS CD-ROM. Looks like you need to remove the wiper arms, then the entire cowl cover to get to it.

Thanks. That is good information to have. I cant believe that the entire arm mechanism is part of the wiper motor replacement procedure. I would not have guessed that from looking at it from the outside. I wonder how much they charge for that part?

The part seems to be 61618229128: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=61&fg=45&hl=3
Pelican Parts lists it at $145.

before you pull the motor (is it getting power)? relays can click all day but if the contacts feeding the motor suck then no motor turny .

Cross posting here herbie. Impossible to get to the motor's electrical connections without essentially taking the motor out. Maybe I can reach the electrical connector after taking the cowl off before taking the entire motor out.

I'm curious if you were able to fix your problem and how. I am in the exact situation.
