Seat Height Lever/Arm help.
Did some searching but I can't seem to find the answer to my question.
Heres the story. I was getting out of the car yesterday and the bottom of my jeans got tangled up with the seat height lever. Yes I looked like an idiot when I almost fell over getting out of my car, felt like one too. Well, it looks like that I used just enough force to move the adjusting lever (4) out of place and pop the cover off (5). Everything works fine, goes up and down but is seems a bit loose. A little more wiggle than I previously remember. The base of the lever (round part connected to seat) doesn't sit flush against the seat base anymore either. I compared it to the passenger seat and it is definitely a little off.
My question is, can I remove the lever and see if I just need to adjust it and refit it with out springs and mechanical pieces exploding in front of me leaving the seat adjuster useless?
I've looked under the cover (4) and I see 3 screws that look like they hold the arm on.

Can you just try and re tighten the screws/bolts , rather than take it all apart. Although from the picture the lever attaches to the crank, which would have all the springs and such in it, so if need be you should be able to take just the handle off without things flying apart.

That's what I was hoping to do. I just wasn't positive if the mechanism itself was encased and the lever was separate. And, if the lever was separate I could remove it and realign/set it.

The handle is separate from the gearing/lifting mechanism. So if you only need to replace the handle, you should be able just to purchase that part. You can pop the cover off the side and there are 3 screws (i think, 3) that hold the lever in place. Just back those out and install the new lever.

stuck seat belt out. When you say "Pop Off" the cover ... can I simply
place a flathead screw driver between the cover and the seat and pry it
off without cracking the cover, if I do it slowly?
Thank you!
I hit the damn thing almost every time I get in/out of the car. One day it will happen.
