Front Seat.. pull forward?

Hey guys, quick question..

On the front seats, once they're in the all-forward position, there's a latch that unlatches that lets the seat slide up more to allow someone to get in the back seat (or, to get to the track to remove the seat). On my passenger seat, this latch has stopped working. When I push the seat forward, it will fall forward but not slide.

So, is there a latch under the seat somewhere that will let me manually slide it forward? I see a cable attached to the seat back that goes down to the latch - the cable is tightened which releases the latch when the seat's forward.

Any help would be appreciated. I have someone stick in the back seat until I get this fixed!

Do not know year of car, but seats do become unsyncronised and dealer warrants them if you are still under warranty. They jump teeth and have to be realigned.

Looking at his/her signature I'm pretty sure he/she is far from warranty!

I had the same problem with my drivers side, and the dealership had to replace the track for me too.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll have to take it off the track too. Hope that piece is available separately.

Yeah, I'm FAR from warranty.. unfortunately. (And I'd really HATE to have to buy a whole new seat, especially since I have no rear seat anymore. But on the rare occasion I need to move it forward... Eh.

The last time I had warranty work done was.. I believe, 15 months after I bought it. So I was on the 1 year / 50k warranty plan.
