Sounds like I turn the key twice....

Ok so my car is going to the dealer tomorrow because the following happens when I start her when it is cold.

With the clutch pressed and the shifter in any gear or neutral I turn the key.

The car will start, and the revs will increase from zero like normal until it hits where it would normally just stop and evenually as the car warms would lower. But reciently the when the revs hit thier peak (i think about 1100 or 1200rpm) a grinding noise happens that sounds simmilar to someone trying to start the car a second time (while running) it is not as schrill as that noise...but close...

any ideas?

Bad starter?

I am wondering what the dealer will come up with...

Could be a sticky starter armature. Probably stays engaged to the flywheel and once the revs build to be higher than the starter can handle it starts to grind then lets go...
Thats my guess.
