Passenger window

The window will not roll down on my 03 MCS. I know it is not the switch as the window does not roll down to shut the door. I do hear a little click when the switch is activated. I am thinking it is the motor, but I am not sure. Any suggestions? Also anybody know any third party parts dealers? I do not want to buy from the dealer $$$!

Yes, it's the motor.
Try PelicanParts.com

As a temporary fix, while holding the window switch down, bang with your fist just above the door speaker. That should free it up for the time being.

It's just around $100 from the dealer -- at least, thus has been my experience.

I've been using the "fist" trick for over a year, much more frequently when it first happened then now.

Pull off the door panel and grab the motor and press it in towards the interior and out towards the door panel. The motor is a silver/gray color and stick out from the gear assembly. The gears sometimes bind and this seems to loosen them. Good luck!

I know this is going to sound odd, but I was having a similar problem with my passenger window in a 2002 MCS. I was putting off getting it fixed until I had another reason to take it to the dealer. Well my battery died, so I replaced it with one from Sears. Now the window works 100%. It really made me wonder if the window motors just weren't getting the power they needed as they got older, and the batteries got older. Your mileage may vary, but if your battery is OEM and older than 2 years, it might be worth a try.
