I've seen comments about a cold start issue but what about a hot start issue? My Mini was built in April for a May delivery so my software should be fairly current. Here is the problem. After driving for about 20 or so minutes at highway speeds I can turn off the car and if I try to restart it in less that 2-3 minutes it always takes a second try. If I'm out of the car for a longer period of time it will start up on the first try.

Anyone here anything about this? Other than that I don't have any starting problems.

I have a March 9 build MCS, with no hot-start issues. I can attest to this first hand because of all the cross-state driving I've done with the car. I'll be cruising down the interstate for hours, stop at the rest stop to use the bathroom, come right back out and the engine starts no problem, every time.

Sounds like an old Chevy problem, but it's news to me for a MINI. Perhaps a bad sensor, but have it checked out at your dealership (and cross your fingers)

Cheers,
Ryan
