Loose Boot/Have to Slam to Close Hatch

I know I've read solutions for this, but can't seem to find it anymore. It seems to be a common problem, but my boot is really hard to close. It seems I have to slam it shut everytime, what is the fix again?

thanks

You might try adjusting the rubber bumpers on the hatch. They screw in and out like a bolt. Perhaps try a 1/2 turn clockwise on each side and see if that helps.

I remember reading that you can adjust the metal catch on the bottom of the trunk: where the latch on the boot actually hooks into. You can supposedly loosen that catch and slide it out towards the back of the car essentally making it easier to for the boot to latch and lock onto it.
