I didn't want my old rotors. I think Chad uses them to hold his vendor tent posts to the ground. While I could have installed them myself, I preferred to sit and watch Chad do it and talk about MINIs, etc. It was fun to be able to learn a few things from someone who knew what he was doing.

Well I'm not so sure they are warped, I guess it could be deposits on the rotors. Is there any way to correct the problem before buying new rotors

Rich - What specific appearance / symptoms / problems are you having that make you think there's something wrong?

Steering wheel shudder when slowing down from over 20mph with at least 50% brake pedal pressure.

I have Hawk HPS pads all around and powerslot front rotors. Pads have 2 track days and a dragon weekend on them, the powerslot rotors have a day at the dragon on them.

Hmmm... if you visually inspect the rotors, how do they look? see any deposits? See any uneven wear? If you drag a finger radially across the rotor (both sides) do you feel any "ridgy-ness" or is it smooth? Did this just start after 3,000 miles on the rotors?

No deposits to be seen

See any uneven wear?
Not that I'm able to see. The rotor surface looks the same all the way around the rotor.

I haven't had my wheels off yet to be able to run fingers all the way around on both sides, however I've run my finger along 3-6" parts on the outside of the rotor and it felt smooth.

Yep, I had the rotors put on at MINIs on the Dragon in May, did a day driving the Dragon, and managed to get about 700 miles on them before I deployed a couple of weeks later. I started to notice the vibration a week after I got the car back from the body shop on my way to NY.

I need to go have a leaking thermostat replaced by Dan as soon as I can get a chance to drive up, so I'll have him take a look. I was hoping that is the rotors are warped then powerslots can be turned, and if it's pad deposits I was hoping that somehow the deposits can be removed at a low cost. I'm hurtin' for money right now:impatient
