SES and DSC lights on

Going to work today and cruising at 65 mph on the freeway when the engine hiccups like when the DSC engages and the power drops. I look at the guages and the DSC light is on and wont reset withthe toggle switch. As I continue to drive the engine intermittantly stalls and now the SES light comes on so I pull over and try turning engine off and on to see if it will reset, no such luck. I continued on to work since I was only a couple of miles away and te engine continued to hiccup.

Could this just be a software problem? I will try to get into the dealer today for a diagnostic check.

Update

Went out at lunch, mini had sat for about 5 hours. Started with no problem, SES light still on but DSC not lit and works now with toggle switch. went for a test drive and engine worked as normal pulled well without hesitation. Everything seem ok except for the SES light that is still on.
I had called the dealership this am and was sent to voicemail for the service advisor. Of course I stil have not recieved a call back. Typical for this dealership.
Anyone one have any ideas what might be happening? Maybe a faulty sensor in the DSC?

It may be a faluty sensor in the DSC or it may be a larger problem. I'd search on here for some answers. My buddies DSC light was engaged and throwing a bunch of different codes. We unplugged the DSC control unit for a few mins. Started and stopped the car a few times. Plugged in the DSC control unit back in... it went off and the engine stopped freaking out.

2nd Update. Same problem has returned. SES and DSC lights on with engine running ruff. Got an OBDII reader today and got code P0108? Does this sound like an O2 sensor fault? This is a 2003 MCS with 105000 miles. I can't get into the dealer until next week will any damage occur if I drive it?

This is probably failure of the supercharger bypass valve. I had this -- various lights on, power cut out at 70 mph, then into limp mode. Drove it 10 more days but limp mode would trigger again above certain rpm. Fix was new SBV under warranty. Do a search in this forum. Lots of information. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply hugefun. I had spoke with Steve and Brad at Customminishop.com and they also suggested the BV. I have recieved the DTBV on Saturday but have been working this weekend and have not had a chance to install.
Shameless plug for Customminishop.com they talked to me on Fri afternoon and I got the part the next day with a regular ground delivery!
I hope to get it installed tonite and test tomorrow.

Okay, took the MINI to CustomIniShop and had Steve Analyze it with his super expensive gizmo. Changed out the MAP sensor on the front of the manifold. Once back together went for a test drive and everything was all better. No annoying lights, good power, back to the fun loving MiNI of old.
