After washing my car, or recently when its raining and the wipers are going, i get some drips of water onto my clutch foot. I'm thinking its coming from the cowl- but why?

Anyone else have this problem? Its not a huge, gushing leak, but definitely enough to be annoying and make for a wet sock. And no one likes wearing wet socks!

 

Do you have a sunroof? If yes, there is a drain line that runs down into the A pillar. Sometimes they get plugged or disconnected.

 

Yup- I do! That would make sense! Where can I find said drain line?

 

There is four drains in your sunroof assembly, I would suggest that you return to the dealer for warrenty as there is probably a blockage or disconnect,

 

There are also some small holes on the cowl that seem to be drains. They are small and probably easily clogged. Do you park under trees a lot? I'd check them too.

You might try threading a thin wire (carefully) down the holes. Run water over the holes to see if they indeed drain.

 

sadly, warranty has expired so its a DIY project now.

jascooper, i DO park under a choke cherry tree that had these stupid berries that fit ever so perfectly into the circular holes of the cowl. and since you mentioned that, i never had this problem until i had to park under that wreched tree!!! i'll bet they're clogged with choke cherries- ugh!
