So i just purchased an '02 MCS and i think i broke it. I was driving while slightly impaired and missed a gear on a down-shift causing the car to over-rev to the extreme. Ever since then i have had a random problem with my EML and SES lights.

The car has 47000 miles and is throwing error codes P1125 (i have 6 of those stored) and P0638 (stored twice). The symptoms come and go at random, i havent been able to identify any correlation to driving habit. I have noticed with increased outside tempteratures the frequency of the EML and SES light increases.
Oddly enough, the Traction control light will light up aswell and the car will sputter like a TB patient, i have no clue what to do.

I want to get an eftermarket Fuel management system, should i do that and see if it fixes it? Or should i blow the money on OEM fixes?

You need to fix whats wrong before moving on to mods. Over revving can cause some serious damage. Make sure what ever you did isn't permanent before moving forward.
