I just used a spray white lithium grease on mine. Also hit the door hinges while I was at it. That was prolly a year ago and the grease is still visible on the doors.

Buy a good lube though don't cheap out on it. i bought a cheap white lithium spray thinking i would save a buck or two instead i end up cleaning and spraying the track every 2-3 monthes cause the lube wears out fast.

Did that too and was not pleased with the longevity of the various lubes. So I got a bottle of STP-poured a little bit in the cap--dipped a never to be used again toothbrush in it-lubed the tracks--works great-lasts a longtime--happy motorer.

As you can tell by the date on the other posts, and the date on my post, I went searching for this thread. I know almost nothing about the mechanical side of cars, so here's my question ... can anyone tell me whether the above was a total joke, or is this an honest answer to a real problem? And before you make all the usual jokes, I actually do know about the normal use for KY Jelly.

Can't think of a reason why not to use it. Should be OK.
