Anyone had this happin?

has anybody had the DSC light, the brake light, and brake symbl come on, on there Cooper S's after running them farily hard through corners and hills?
mine has come on twice now, but quickly goes bak 2 normal after a few minutes. didnt know if it was just the brakes becomeing 2 Hot or what?
any input would be Great thanx-Cory B.

The DSC light just means its doing its thing ... right?

The brake light ... maybe need new pads?

I guess its the ABS light and no when the DSC is doing its job it Blinks not stays Solid and i better not need new pads already w/ 8000 miles on it
so i dunno i'll wait till it does it again maybe they can read the code if it leaves one

Might be worth a trip to the dealer and have them read the computer. Of course, you could ask for new pads while your there.

If the lights flashed and nothing is locked on, go drive and enjoy. Not sure I would want to be with you when you get all of them flashing, car-sick comes to mind.

Correct, when the indicators come on and blink at you, it means that the system has kicked in and it is helping you out. If they come on solid and don't blink, but stay on, the system is deactivated. if they are solid with a ! next to it, there is a malfunction in the system.

The above info is from the manual pages 54 and 55 .

The DSC system is awesome....

Actually I'm backordered for a internal control module because I get DSC malfunction alerts on my nav. Yes, the brake,DSC symbol come on and stay on. This is without driving it hard so maybe unrelated to your situation.

I would say so, the lights on your system are indicating the malfunction where it sounds like the OP system was just doing its job
