First, the silicon isn't that high, considing the number of miles for the sample. Second, I wouldn't worry about the silicon concentration in this sample anyway, because it's not from dirt getting through the air filter. If the silicon were from dirt ingestion, the aluminum concentration would also be much higher (in the 15ppm range instead of only 3ppm).
The silicon in this sample is probably some residual microscopic casting sand from when the engine was initially built, or silicon-containing oil additives.

how hard to you drive your car?

I keep my foot to the floor most of the time, I'm curious if RPM (I redline every gear) and load, and boost presures affect oil life

I would think they do, and if you drive like a little old lady then you'll get 15k+ out of your oil

but if you drive it like you stole it, you wont get that many miles out of your oil

I drive my cars like I stole them

I'm getting my oil changed this week it will only have 1000 miles but 4 hard track days with lots of WOT time it's got Mobil One in it, I'll send it off.

The MINI is designed to actually monitor it. If you drive harder, the miles will drop quicker. Bottom line is that you can follow the maintenence schedule.
