The one disappointment was that Mike's car is quicker than ours, despite being in the same state of tune. Apparently Mini Coopers built after April are quicker, something Mike has noticed with Challenge cars. BMW denies any change in engine spec but I'll keep you posted if I can find out more.

I am not going to say the article is wrong, heck my car was built 8/2 so I hope it is the fastest one yet, but the two cars are not exactly the same. According to the article, the "slower" car has the sports suspension and larger tires. I am by no means an expert but doesnt the sports suspention add 50 -75 pounds of weight, and could the larger wheels, though improving handeling, have an effect on performance?
Just my 2C.

Maybe it's the weight issue... Like i posted, i was pretty dumbfounded at the claim...

I read the article and couldn't figure out what they meant by quicker...straight line, 0-60, slalom? Any ideas?
