Interesting, I guess they dont feel like you have the same problem my car did (trans). So maybe we're talking about clutch/flywheel? Im not sure about a TSB or PuMA but you may want to try PM'ing a member by the name of krut, he has had 2 (possibly 3) clutches replaced. If anyone would know, he would and Im sure he wouldnt mind answering your questions.

Thanks, Trinity.
Global hasn't even really looked at it yet. They keep giving me "off the shelf" answers that they would give to an 18 year old kid.
I was the operations manager of a busy taxi company for 10 years --- I had a staff of mechanics and a fleet of cars that I had to keep going. I ran those beasts each to over 400,000 miles...
When I say a car is doing something, it's doing it.

When Global did the initial PDI on my car, they over-inflated the tires. I have the 195/55-16 tires instead of the 205/45-17 ---- the techs switched them and then put 42 lbs of air in the 16's. I mentioned this to Shakira who mentioned it to the prep guy. The prep guy said I was wrong, they never do that, and gave me a lesson in how tires expand when warm.
Then I told him that I noticed that the car was wandering on the road on the way home and I checked the pressure the next morning cold in my garage; the tires were all between 40 and 42 --- he still responded, "we didn't do it."

It's frustrating and I'm finding myself very soured with the Mini Experience. Totally because of Global's service department.

Not really korby. It is a mechanical device. It will break. If I happen to get one that did, I would just get it fixed. If they were unable to fix it, unlike how I handled the Volvo, I would just lemon-law it and get another car. I dunt(tm) get wrapped up in car problems, whether they stem from one-off issues to design flaws.

People want to make this a sky-is-falling issue, then they can. Nobody can stop that. I was just trying to understand why. Not trying to say there is not an issue somewhere. Every car enthusiast site on the Internet has a forum like this and if you allowed it to decide what car you wanted, you would not buy anything. We have all seen the R56 naysayers who live for threads like this. They will do anything they can to make sure to color it in the worst possible way. I feel for anyone new coming to NAM and reading this forum and not knowing who those individuals are.

I bought my Mini knowing about all this and so far I have been more than happy with the choice/purchase. No problems at all with Romi that I did not induce myself. Rationalize it anyway you want.

I feel for people who have cars with chronic problems. I know how that can take the luster off the purchase and make you regret it. Been there, done that.

I have no luster.
How'd you get to your Zen state? Can I get lessons? I've tried Scotch but it wears off the next morning...

I'm driving a dang Malibu! Somebody shoot me!

It doesn't wear off if you don't stop drinking.

Hope you get your issues with the car resolved.
