Paint Job Question and Pics

This is the top of the car right above the hatch back door. The area above the hinges didn't get painted at the factory. The spoiler hides it if your standing far enough back, but when you stand up close you can see it. Is everyone's MINI like this? Just curious. These pics show each side. I did my best to get a good picture, but my camera, for on reason or another, doesn't want to focus on it. Thanks in advance.

I hate to resurrect this thread, but I'm just curious still. I have my second maintenance coming up toward the end of summer. I'm just wondering if this is normal...or is my MINI a freak of nature? Should I just leave it? If it were to be fixed, would I have to have the entire roof resprayed? (If that's the case, I'll leave it. If they can just fix those two spots, I'd be happy.) I'm not even sure if this is something you take up with a dealer. I don't want to be the annoying customer everyone hates. Anyway, I'd like any thoughts on it

I don't think it's normal. Mine is not like that. It won't rust, because in the paint process the car is painted all over with the principal color and the roof is painted after that.

I think the dealer can fix it, but I also think they need to spray the entire roof.

Ask the dealer what they can do for you, you have nothing to lose

Hopefully you have a warranty. That is an obvious defect and should be covered. I have a couple spots of yellow peeking out around the edges, but at 100k miles, the dealership would laugh at me.
