Should the Power Steering Fan be running ALL the time, or is it Temp. sensitive like the radiator fan. (come on with radiator fan) I was changing my oil today and when I went to leak check under the car I noticed that the Power Steering Fan was not running. I thought to myself, maybe it is activated with the Radiator fan, so I turned on the A/C, the radiator fan came on but no Steering fan. Yes the car was up to temp., I had just come back from picking up the oil for the change. I currently have No Steering problems. Any info would be appreciated.

It will run with the radiator fan, and usually only when the radiator fan is running at the higher speed.

 

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to run the car hard to get up to 220 deg so the radiator fan comes on high, I forgot about the radiator fan being 2 speed.
