Cool. That sounds like an interesting solution. Does the ducting actually extend down a little to pull more air in? The stock fan is pretty far down to start.

This piece started showing up on '05 cars with automatic transmissions. My take on why it started with those cars is since the automatic MCSs dont have oil coolers, the duct was put into place to bring air in from ahead of the oil pan rather than behind it. The pan would tend to get hotter than cars with the oil cooler after hard running, so bringing air in from an area ahead of it will allow much cooler air in to keep the sensitive pump cool.

Note that this item will not prevent eventual failure of the fan from water/dirt accumulation.

Does anyone know a place to buy these now? I can't find the duct on any site that people have mentioned (like minimania, or mossmini).

Thanks!

By chance does anyone know where to find them cheaper? Just because you can get the under body panel for $45, but then the duct is another $190. RealOEM suggests closer to $45 each, so I'm hopeful.
