Creaking dashboard
Had mine in for oil change and mentioned about my dash creeking on the right side, they said there is a TSB on this. They totaly remove the dash and "isolate" the dash from the firewall. Apparently the dash is rubbing up against the firewall and squeeks and creeks. I had mine done in November and have had no more noise!!!
Check to see if the window-to-weatherstrip is not adding to that chorus. The weatherstrips and window could be making the rubbing sound that is hard to isolate too. Put some rubber/vinyl protectant on the weatherstrips and then drive with the windows closed. See if it reduces it any...

The dashboard of my '05 S was creaking and the dealer replaced the dash cover under warranty. The problem has ceased. I had isolated my problem to the center top of the dash cover. If I pressed down in that area, the creaking stopped.
I too, had a creak in the dash which would go away if i pressed down right around the A/C sensor. I asked the dealer about it and they told me that there was a fix for it, as wsj3200 and DPCooperS mentioned. I really wasn't wild about having them remove the whole dash to fix it. I read on another thread either here or on mini2.com that a guy fixed his creak by putting some molding from a household window along the gap between the top of the dash and the windshield. Apparently, some windows in a house are held in place with a trianglular piece of rubber molding. The right sized molding fits in the gap and acts like your hand when you hold press on the top of dash.
I looked around the garage for something that would do the same thing. I finally found some fuel line hose that did the trick. I pressed two 1" pieces of fuel line into the gap. The fuel line was just large enough to fit in the gap with a enough pressure to push down on the top but not enough to bend the plastic.
It looks a little odd but I haven't hear the creak in six months nor have I made it down to the glass shop to get some of any window molding. The creak is gone so it just hasn't been important enough to make the trip to a glass shop for something better.
Here's a picture. The flash makes it easy to see the tubing. Without the extra light of the flash, the tubes are hardly visible.

If still under warranty, take it baCk to the dealer. They use some kind of sticky thick fabric tape around all of the edges of the various plastic panels and interior pieces to eliminate the creaking that occurs in just about all of the MINIs. Most people are oblivious to the noise, but some of us like cars that don't sound like they are snapped together like a cheap model airplane (or MINI).
My dashboard creaks only when the car gets hot sitting in the sun. Anyone else experience this?

Well I had my steering column replaced, that helped some of the creaking. To solve the other creaking noise I did the following:
At the center of the dashboard where it meets the glass, you will see there is a gap between the glass and the dash.
Well I have wedged a duster cloth about 3 inches from the center to the right. I rolled up the cloth into and just pushed it right in along that gap.
I'm using a right hand drive car so it was 3 inches to the right of that circular thing . If you are using a left hand drive car I would guess it would be 3 inches to the left instead.
hope this might help

It makes one wonder that it there is a TSB for both, why in the heck don' t they put the tape in in the first place??
Poor QC or the bean counters?
