hands-free phone questions...
Okay, does one of you want to enlighten me on this?
I have a cellphone. Plain old boring cellphone (samsung cheapie E105)
I have a MFSW in my mini, with the standard 2 buttons I don't use. And I think there's an un-used microphone (or a spot for it) up at the center of the roof.
If I want to be hands-free, what do I need to get at this point? The bluetooth option has to be added to the phone and the car both or is it lying in wait in the car already if I activate it? Is it difficult to install into the car as DIY or is it something the dealer does? I saw a thread on mini2 about parrot evo kits is what got me thinking about this. I don't need bluetooth for my phone when I'm not in my MINI, so integrated into the car is great, and no earpiece would be sweeet...can you really have it rigged so the call interrupts your radio and you have an audio mic in the car so you don't have to wear anything on your ear? Things like your caller ID going to your radio (I have the factory H/K upgrade) would be a bonus but not really necessary. I don't need voice-dial either, I mainly answer calls when driving, I don't make 'em as often.
Educate me!
gracias,
mc
