Balducci Winery Run 2006
More Attendence Prizes
Add COOPER FLAGS, to the list of nice folks that have donated attendence prizes for the run. Don't forget a camera and radio if you have one. See you on Saturday, ready to MOTOR.
Looks like we may have rain on Sat. however we will be there and look forward to seeing everyone again.
The roads around where we live just were resurfaced with chip and oil so if it rains it may wash off some of the gravel dust I get just trying to leave the house and go anywhere. I can't stand having my new MINI dusty

I won't wash Lucy, just scrub some bugs off her hood. That might help fend off some rain.
I'll be driving down from Quincy, anyway, no point in washing Lucy before running a two hour gauntlet of summer bugs (and the same gauntlet on the way home).

It's looking like we will have 40-50 MINIs/Minis for the rallye tomorrow
About the placards, Doug had a due date to order them. If you told me before July 31st there is one waiting for you, if not it will depend on how many are left.
See you all tomorrow
Rain or shine
A little rain never hurt our MINIs

Looking at the radar, now 2045 local time there is a good size thunderstorm just to the north of us and a severe thunder storm watch until 0100 local time.
Go figure!!!!! No rain all summer!!!!!! But tomorrow they are calling for it.
They have been wrong before....but since "we" washed "our" Mini
....it will rain. Sorry everyone.
:impatient
I'll still wash mine before heading over there in the morning. That's part of what's nice about owning a MINI basic cleaning only takes like 10 minutes. Well I definitely look forward to meeting everyone I haven't met yet. And sorry doug that I never got that disc mailed out to you...I will bring it with me tomorrow.
What a good time!
Thanks to all our coordinators and sponsors! It was a bit hot, but no rain and we did have a great time. I saw at least 34 MINIs and one Mini, but my count is probably a bit light as there was wine begging to be sampled.
Cheers,
Mike

I agree the best outing with the club since joining.
What a day and what was the final count, someone said 50? Great prizes and such a nice drive on the twisties. I'm glad I'm back in a MINI again to get out with everyone and have fun together. I can't wait for MTTS now with the rumors of the numbers of MINIs that are signed up to drive.
I took a few pics and will post them this weekend. Good seeing everyone.
Great job Doug and everyone that organized this annual ralley, can't wait for next year.
Motor on!

Glad to see there was a big turnout! Unfortunately my work decided they needed me to drive a train this morning at 4:30. They just don't understand the importance of MOTORING!
I agree with the great time. Thanks to everyone that helped set it all up, it was fantastic. I got to meet a number of new people which is always a good time. Can't wait for next year.

Thank You
We would like to thank every one who attended this year's winery run, it was a lot of fun putting it on and I hope everyone had a good time. The offical car count was 42, just 2 off of the record, that gives us something to aim for next year.
I have some really good news to report. In recounting the money raised for STRAY RESCUE, the grand total is $483.00, so thanks to everyone for the generous donations.
Don't forget to patronize the nice folks who contributed our attendence prizes: World Class Motoring, Viking Products, Red Line Oil, Out Motoring, Mini of St. Louis, Mini Mania, John Bull Garage, and Cooper Flags. And tell your friends how nice the Balducci Winery is.
Hope to see everyone soon,
Cheers,
Doug & Donna Travis

Those are some of the ones I took, at least until DataBob and I lost the group. Still, it was great fun.
