Euromeet 2005 (May 1, 2005)
It's back. It's bigger. It's better. Shine up your car for Euromeet 2005!
After a great event last August, EuroMeet is back this year at a new
venue promising the same casual environment to come out and show your
pride and joy. EuroMeet 2005 will be held on Sunday, May 1st 2005 at
the Sailboat Cove area in Creve Coeur Park. Last year we saw over 50
BMW's, Volkswagens, Audi's, Mini Coopers and more come out for a
one-of-a-kind, laid-back, show-and-shine. And the best part about
EuroMeet...it's FREE.
EuroMeet gathers like minded passionate European car lovers together
for a day of showing, sharing and relaxing. EuroMeet is a free event,
and not a typical car show. It is not open to the public, but rather a
social event for car lovers themselves wishing to catch up after the
long winter. Held against the scenic backdrop alongside Creve Coeur
Lake, this year you can expect a bigger and better venue. On-site
restrooms, access to the lake and trails, and covered shelter for up
to 125 people are all at our disposal. A BBQ lunch will be served as
well to all participants.
Registration opens March 12th and will end April 24th.
Pre-registration is required. The event takes place on Sunday May 1st,
with registration at 10:30AM and the show to kick off at 11AM. Wax up
the car, bring the family and your lawn chairs, and kick off the
spring and summer season in style. EuroMeet 2005 is bound to be bigger
and better this year!
Visit http://www.stleuromeet.com for information and to pre-register
before April 24th!
The previous info was provided by the organizers of Euromeet 2005. Let's get a bunch of Minis/MINIs out there!

Hey guys, how's everything going? Glad to see we're going to have a better turnout this year. So far, i was told we have 14 registered mini's! Awsome guys! Last year if i remember correctly, there were only 3 of us including myself. While i wont be seeing you guys in the Mini section, it'll be nice to catch up and see everyone again.
Can't Wait!

weather
here's the info regarding weather/rain dates for euromeet. from what i'm told, this was on the website:
Because of fees paid and other preparations, the event does not have a
rain date or tentative re-scheduling plan. If, on the day of the
event, rain is prominent in the forecast or it is raining heavily, we
may reconsider rescheduling the event. HOWEVER, please do plan to come
to the park regardless to receive any instructions. Chances for rain,
clouds, drizzle, etc. will not stop the event from going forward.
any other questions, please contact stleuromeet@gmail.com
hoping for sun!

We had a great day for the Euromeet, but I could of done with less wind.
There were a total of 11 MINI's representing club, oh make that 12 there was one late arrival.
Counting the BMW's, VW's, and others I believe there were about 65 cars all together. I say that was a good turn out, and there were lots of canned goods collected for the St. Louis Food Pantry.
Hats off to Mick (Killer Bee) as he took home the honors for our group which was 'others'. I could of done without that group name, although we were grouped with Audi's and Porsche's.
Hopefully next year we can double the number of MINI's.
Happy Motoring

Last year there were only 3 minis and this year there were 12! It was definitely great to see such an increase and we hope to see a more active participation from the stlmini club next year.
We would love to have stlmini as part of the co-sponsor for this event next year! Yes, you will get to have your very own category, but most important of all, we would just like to see some great comradery in helping to put this event together from our fellow european car enthusiasts.
Any more feedback about the event in general please post up! We strive to make this better every year so give us your input.
Thank you,
Angeline
