Why can you find 93 or greater octane gas in Missouri? Everyother place on earth (except California which is a hell hole) you can find a Sunoco or a Unocal 76 with 93 or 94 octane.
I buy my 93 octane at Shell, plus I have a Shell credit card that saves me 5 cents on every dollar of gas I buy. Much easier to pay $1.90, than pay $2.00. Hopefully it will stay in the $1.80 range for now.
There is a 66 station on Lemay Ferry Road, about 3 or 4 miles west of 270 that has a pump with racing gas, if you really want to MOTOR FAST.
All Quick Trips have 93 octane.
Check the Quick Trips over there. I know gasoline can be regional. Maybe people on that side of the state are just slower.
You could check witht the KC MINI dealer!
i find that in most of the urban/suburban areas of missouri, 93 octane is easy to find. in fact, i don't recall seeing many if any stations around that don't sell 93. from my experience, most stations that are in rural areas don't sell 93.
However, in urban areas, most gasolines have up to 10% ethanol in them, whereas rural areas do not require this. Anyone know the difference? Do urban fuels need to be juiced-up to 93 octane due to the ethanol so they perform like a 91, non-ethanol fuel?
I have noticed a difference in performance when getting 93 octane back in Springfield, MO, which does not require the 10% ethanol.
Maybe it really doesn't matter after the computer figures out what's going on and changes everything....
