Cruise To Balducci Winery Aug. 21

THE SAINT LOUIS MINI CLUB ANNOUNCES

OUR SECOND ANNUAL CRUISE TO

LOUIS P. BALDUCCI WINERY

Saturday August 21, 2004 12:30 pm

Not a rally, not a race, just a cruise thru the Missouri country side to Balducci’s Winery. Not boring old Highway 94 for our group, we will travel on roads just made for a MINI.

We will meet behind the fountain (in front of World Market) at the Boone’s Crossing entrance to Chesterfield Commons Shopping Center in Chesterfield Valley, then motor out Chesterfield Airport Road to 40/64 west taking the highway 94 exit, then the fun begins!

Carol & Rick Balducci will provide us with a special parking place overlooking the picnic area, and all MINI owners (21 & above) will receive 50% off their first bottle of wine. As always there will be live music. Bring a picnic lunch or the winery has food to purchase. For the non-wine drinkers, Balducci now offers O’Fallon Brewery beers. For more information on the winery check out: www.balduccivineyards.com .

A chance to motor thru some nice curves, with scenic vistas, listen to good music, sip a little wine, meet new friends, or renew old acquaintances. We hope to see you there.

DON’T FORGET A CAMERA.

In case of rain, we will have the same schedule on Sunday, August 22nd)

Questions: contact Doug Travis at zinful@charter.net

Fun Route

Donna and I did the final route to Balduccis yesterday. I can say, you have never had this much fun motoring to the Missouri Wine Area. We only got lost twice laying out the route, this way you won't have to. The roads have MINI written all over them, they will put a big smile  on you cars grill and on your face too! See you there.

Motoring on,
Doug

Count me in.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Missouri wine area and another St. Louis event. I will be motoring down from Minnesota on Saturday in time for the event and back on Sunday. So, I hope the date does not change.

See you then-
Val

How many Minis are going to be at this cruise? I've been in Oklahoma for the past 6 months or so, but there is a chance that I will be in MO this weekend, just in time for this cruise. I don't know if I could make it, but if I'm in town, I sure will try. I missed the one last year cause I didn't have mine, so I would really like to go to this one.

Balducci Car Count.

Last year we had 12 cars and from the looks of the replys above, we should have more than that. I hope you can make it, last year was a lot of fun and the route out there is better this year.

Cheers,

doug

Thanks. Right now its not looking good for our trip up there, but I'm still trying to talk the girlfriend into it. I probably won't know for sure until the very last minute. When I find out, I'll post here so everybody won't be waiting on me if I'm not going to make it.

Cruise Weather

Long term weather report for the weekend looks great. It should be dry on Saturday and a high of 83. Perfect weather to motor and wine.
See you there.

Cheers,
Doug

Sorry. I'm not going to make it. Plans have changed that don't require us to drive up there. I'm really dissappointed, I was looking forward to this meet. I'll keep checking back here every now & then & maybe when I'm in town there will be something going on & I WILL be there.
