100 Acre Wood rally

Hello, it’s rally time again in Missouri. The 100AW is the second event of the Rally America national championship and takes place this Feb. 27-28 in and around Salem, MO.
I am the volunteer coordinator for the rally and we can always use more help during the event. Most people end up as marshals or control workers. We have other jobs, but they require some sort of experience, such as HAM radio, medical, or Sweep. Anybody can be a marshal or control worker, but we really need HAM operators and medical personnel. If you fit the bill or know of somebody like that, do everything you can to get them to come and you can work with them if you want.

As mentioned, no experience is needed to be a marshal or control worker. We'll do our best to make sure you know what to do. Marshals sit at intersecting roads to the stage and keep non-rally traffic or specators off of the stage. Control workers are at the start or finish of the stage to time the cars. Both are fun jobs and you can try both if you want.

To sign up to work, go to www.100aw.org and look for the worker tab. There is other info there you can read, including the registration times and locations. Please sign up online if you can so I can get an early count on how many to expect. You will still need to come to registration one time to sign the waiver and get all your free stuff. We'll have t-shirts and lapel pins for sure and maybe some other stuff.
Then when the rally is over, all the workers are invited to the after-party and awards presentation at the Eagles Lodge in Salem. It's free food and drinks for everyone.

If you just want to come out and spectate, that's fine too.
As usual, motel rooms are becoming scarce, but can still be had within 30 miles or so of Salem. If you think you need one, get it soon.

If you have any questions, post em here or email me.
