Just say'n hi

I just wanted to introduce myself as a future mini owner in the St. Louis area. I'll start my order in June. If you all have any pointers in dealing with the mini dealership it would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Nathan

Nathan, welcome to MINIs and NAM! If you haven't found it already, check out the search function in the upper right. Pret'near any question you could come up with, from nuts and bolts (and torque) to dealer negotiations are at your fingertips using that feature. Have fun and enjoy your adventure. Better let us all know what you're ordering...

Right now I'm thinking Cooper-non S, chili red w/ black top, 16" wheels, fog lights and black bonnet stripes. I'm still going through color combos.... I like the new blue they have.

Welcome! You will love the car. I have had more cars than I care to admit (shows an instability on my part), and this car is a BLAST to drive! Whenever my wife and I go someplace, I always ask her, "do you wanna take your car or something nice?" She drives an 08 Accord V6 Couple (loaded) and my car is much more fun to drive!!!

For negotiating with the dealer, I can't help. I always seem to negotiate my way to a worse deal.

If you're not 100% set on one color, I recommend making a trip to the dealer and seeing the colors in person(hopefully on the cars instead of the paint color samples they have). When we started looking for our MINI, I looked at all the colors on the computer and said "There's no way in heck I would have Hot Orange!" Then I saw one in person, and it became "There's no color I want more."
